Efuru Nwapa – President

Efuru is a dual qualified Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, and a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with 29 years combined post qualification experience. Efuru currently works with various law firms in London as an independent Consultant Solicitor, with expertise in Commercial and Residential property, Probate and Litigation. She is also a Non- Executive Director at Inclusive Multi Academy Trust in London.
Efuru is a partner at EN&N Legal Practitioners Victoria Island Lagos, where she has acted for clients in the oil and gas industry. Efuru holds two degrees and two Masters, the latest in Petroleum Law and Policy from the University of Dundee in Scotland. Prior to becoming a Consultant Solicitor, Efuru practiced extensively in various firms in London United Kingdom and established her firm J E Solicitors in Golders Green London in 2003, which later became JE Stevenson in Marble Arch London, She resigned as a partner in October 2010.
Efuru is an Oil and Gas industry policy analyst and has written articles on the Nigerian Content Development Act 2010 and the Petroleum Industry Bill both published in the Nation Newspapers.
She has 3 grown children and enjoys walking, dancing and mentoring. Efuru is passionate about community work and currently works for various Igbo organisations in the UK.
Ijomah Dibua – Vice President

Comrade Ijoma Dibua, Ebonadi the 2nd hails from Umuopu village in Oguta. Ijoma is a political Scientist who has previously served OUKIA as Provost and Social secretary respectively. IJ as he is fondly called by his friends is happily married with four children.
Nonye Nzeribe – Secretary

Mrs Nonye Nzeribe is from Umunkwocha Village in Oguta. She joined the association to stay connected to her people and their culture. In her spare time Nonye enjoys coordinating events and has a special passion for Event Decorating. She also enjoys visiting Castles and Ruins. Along side her day job, she is the chairperson for SCYSS(Sickle Cell and Youth Stroke Survivors) charity that provides support for children who suffer from Sickle Cell Disease and their families. She also runs a Christmas Charity for the Homeless and people who would normally be on their own on Christmas day.
JP Ukachukwu – Assistant Secretary

Chidora Okororie – Financial Secretary

Chidora Okororie is from Okichi Village in Oguta. He is an information System Analyst from University London as well as Data Analysis and design from University of Oxford UK. He is currently working for Capgemini UK as Technical Software Test Consultant. Chidora’s quest for new technology spurred him into developing an emergency mobile app to help curb the menace of domestic violence. He is a member of British Computer society and also a member of Institute of Management of Information System. On his spare time, Chidora likes reading and watching his favourite club side Manchester United.
Dr Joyce Okechukwu – Treasurer

Dr Joyce Uzokwe-Okechukwu is from Umundanike Village in Oguta. She is GP partner and trainer with special interest in women’s health. Dr. Joyce has served the association previously as treasurer, and currently serving at the same position. She is happily married with two beautiful children. Outside her busy schedule, Dr Joyce likes Reading, Running and Walking.
